Tripadvisor performs checks on shopping mall, but the background music is always a very annoying jazzy music. Now they are playing jazzy Christmas music - even more annoying!!! Easy to get to and very good free parking. Written December 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on recently used the Path during our 3 day stay in Toronto. It was so much appreciated, as the weather was rainy and cold for most of our stay. It was amazing to see what is offered. In addition to the shops and restaurants, there had barbershops, dental offices, drugstores, etc. We did think the signs could have been clearer in some areas and we had to ask someone a couple times for directions to where we were going but overall this is a great option, especially if you want to stay warm and April 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on lBrampton, Canada10,559 contributionsIn January we stayed in a hotel around the vicinity of Yorkville neighborhood has chic cafes and bars and fine-dining restaurants. I understand its posh hotels host Hollywood insiders during the Toronto International Film three main museums namely Royal Ontario Museum, Gardiner and Bata Shoe Museum are all located in this neighborhood which makes this area really one of the best place to visit in February 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on Canada80 contributionsA staple mall for the west end. Free parking, accessible with necessary stores like a grocery store and Walmart while having a good food court and a good handful of stores. However, it's overall pretty basic. Would definitely recommend Eaton Center or Yorkdale for a more extravagant August 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on mall is next to the TTC subway & bus stop and is popular with female older shoppers. Therefore, it features “boutique†higher-end clothing, jewellery-accessories, optical, and intimate apparel—not casual /children’s stores. There is no food court but restaurants/cafes N-S and W besides Loblaws supermarket with covered parking. However, some seating has been removed, aside from permanent fixtures nearer Pusateri’s / washrooms. Like at other Toronto area malls, a lot of vendors have not done well esp. due to past health-related closures; and on-site library shutdown has meant no regular visits by mothers with young kids. Prices remain higher—in the central Shoppers Drug Mart, too. Still, salons and dental offices manage to operate on the top/bottom N/S parking-access levels, although numerous independent stores have gone out of business. Increasingly, indoor dining near Tabule Lebanese keep leaving…resulting in far less options than Fairview’s food court / offices or vast retail / restaurants at Yorkdale mall. On the North side, there’s makeshift covered patio dining labelled Bayview Village ‘Haute’, parking/curb-side but at least safely outdoors. However, management doesn’t seem to enforce mask requirements indoors, and I didn’t see many seniors shopping. Hopefully, storekeepers will make a quick recovery with the ongoing public health measures…and Mastermind toys might hang on for families after Chapters’ Indigo bookstore, now gone. Bayview Village is not bustling like before—especially recollecting age-old pictures with Santa !Written September 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on you’re not the mall type, the Manulife Centre is fairly accessible and has things to do on a rainy day. It has sparse shops big and small; the Indigo bookstore with coffee shop, or Gran Cafe; and a fabulous view from the rooftop bar, if its elevator—tucked around the corner beside the movie theatre—is running. Cineplex Varsity Theatre at the Southwest corner of the Centre top of the Manulife escalator has a great VIP 4 full-service dining /lounge drinks theatre beside the washrooms. An older man who manages the Varsity is great. Underground parking costs around $7-14 but can be validated there inside the theatre and at the restaurant for up to four hours. Above its humble espresso bar ground floor off Bloor, Eataly does wrap all around from Balmuto Street along Bloor on the second floor. An escalator leads to a food market; a small elevator is the more direct route to the gelateria and back booths by A Pasta Di Gragnano, on the other side of the washrooms and pastries counter, overlooking Aritzia and Holt Renfrew across Bloor street. Manulife Centre may be considered an office building; but there are other things to do inside for families and young adults, besides a little shopping and transferring subway trains. You can catch a show, and once the rain clears, Village of Yorkville park is nearby at Cumberland-Bellair to enjoy gelato and bubble tea. It’ll be a brief & ‘cultural’ experience in the heart of Toronto City!Written June 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on is a very confusing place to try to get around - It is part of the Toronto PATH - and all the corridors look identical - There are plenty of good places to eat if you are doing work in the offices upstairs, but nothing that would make you come here that you can't find in one of the larger malls. Architecturally - it is a beautiful building with all the white granite and the flags of all the provinces and Canada at the king street August 10, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on been to The Good Son, Jack Astors and Ice and Cream in this mall of outdoor high end stores. They have lots of restaurants, Cineplex and clothing stores. I like the Bath and body works store. It’sa great mall to just walk around. Tripadvisor performs checks on a bit of a Zoo on a sunny day with people walking about, and boats coming in and out, water taxis, coffee close by. Like a terminal to get around the waterfront. Yes some stores missing, one of my faves that sold lambskin jackets way back. Still a place to see some sights. The building right beside would be a great place to live. Still, it is close to everything walking wise. A good place to check out in the summer and find your way to the islands from there. Tripadvisor performs checks on Atrium on Bay is a small collection of shops and restaurants across from the massive CF Eaton Centre. There is paid parking within walking distance in various parking garages which can be fairly expensive, or you can access this mall easily using public transit. We have eaten at St. Louis's Bar & Grill, but there is also a Red Lobster, McDonald's and a variety of other dining choices. There is a drug store, a post office and several stores in the mall if you need to get some shopping done, but do not want to be overwhelmed by the massive mall August 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on first went to Bayshore which was far too large for us oldies to walk around so were happy to find Carlingwood Shopping Centre Mall. The best thing was the quantity of seating which we had need of several times. There isn't too much in the way of variety, mostly clothes shops it seemed, though I may be wrong! Unfortunately, my experience was spoilt by the clothes shop 'Fantasie' where I bought a duvet coat which was marked $99 but got charged $100 though cheap for Canadian prices most stores had sales starting around $99. When I looked at it again back at the hotel, I found a 3 corner tear on a sleeve. It was obviously there from the time of manufacture as the corner had been ironed over. I took it back next day but the assistant not the one who sold it to me was so rude, wouldn't even look at the damage saying 'no returns, no refunds' pointing out that that was shown on the receipt. I wasn't made aware of this policy when making the purchase, I didn't see any notice in the shop to this effect and how may people actually read the receipt at the time of purchase?Written November 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
